Claire Woodman operates her business from a shop in Kingswood, Bristol with her four members of staff.
“Following an office move from Fishponds, to Kingswood in December 2015, my business continues to grow.
"On the first day in the new shop front office, I felt very nervous and excited that we were finally open for clients and now just wanted them to come flooding through the door!
"We started to sign clients within the first few weeks with a momentum building. The majority of these came from ‘walk-ins’, which was great to know that the extra overheads of having a shop were already proving worthwhile. The first six months in the new shop flew by, with a lot of laughs, some manic moments, but an underlying feeling of ‘yes this is right!’.
"The best part of the shop has been - and continues to be - building the relationships with existing and new clients. I love meeting people and the shop ‘walk-ins’ mean you never know who you will be meeting that day and no two days are the same.
"We have such a variety of businesses here, that they never fail to interest me. Our clients comment on the welcoming and friendly atmosphere, with many just popping their head round the door to say ‘hi’ as they are passing. The relationships we are building with clients make our working day pleasant and our clients relaxed and happy to talk to us and about us to others.”
