TaxAssist Accountants is celebrating another major milestone in its continued growth as the national accountancy network signs up its 50,000th small business client.

“This is great news for our business and our network,” said David Paulson, Senior Franchise Recruitment Manager at TaxAssist Accountants.“Our business model is clearly working and our service – providing tax and accountancy services in friendly, accessible, shop-style premises - is evidently resonating with our small business clients.”

The 50,000th client was 3D technologies and IT services specialist Consilio3D, who signed up with TaxAssist Accountants’ Watford shop, run by husband and wife team Kam and Sejal Sira.

“We had no idea this was the 50,000th client for our network nationally until we got the call from our support centre,” said Sejal. “We’re delighted to be working with Consilio 3D, which is a hugely innovative company, providing products and consultancy to dynamic market sectors, including aerospace, automotive and healthcare.

“They’re at the forefront of 3D printing technology, so as well as looking after their accounts and tax, we’re learning about some fascinating products and developments. The fact they’ve helped us reach a national milestone is an added bonus.”

Over 25% of new clients sign up on the back of the national marketing campaigns that TaxAssist Accountants provides for their network. The rest come from local marketing initiatives that the franchisees are advised to operate in their area.

TaxAssist Accountants serves a wide variety of small business clients including specialist consultancies, design and innovation companies, tradespeople, independent retailers, building sub-contractors, food retailers and manufacturers, arts and crafts companies and a host of other entrepreneurial businesses.

The network is targeting further coverage in the UK, with recruitment drives for franchisees currently focusing on the Midlands, Scotland, Wales, Norfolk and Cornwall areas.

TaxAssist Accountants has a UK-wide network of nearly 200 franchisees and has built a fee income of more than £30 million, ranking 25th in the UK’s Top 50 Accountants. The successful business model is being introduced in Canada this year and is set to launch in Australia, New Zealand and the United States in 2015.
