TaxAssist Accountants franchisees manage their team to deliver a suite of accounting, tax, financial and advisory services to local small business owners, contractors and freelancers, all from highly visible and welcoming shopfronts.
You will be focusing on growing a client base of small businesses, including self-employed individuals, sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies with a turnover of up to £2 million. These represent more than 99% of businesses in the UK.
High net worth individuals are also likely to form part of your client portfolio.
Your role will primarily consist of:
- Being the principal of the business
- Business development
- Marketing your practice
- Managing staff
- Customer service
- Practice management and profitability
- Custodian of the brand in your territory
Much of your time will be spent growing your business by attracting new clients and leading your team of loyal staff. But you won’t be doing this alone – we’ll guide you every step of the way to maximise both your income and asset value. All you need to do is follow our proven business model, just as hundreds of people have successfully done before you.
Do I need to come from an accountancy background to run a TaxAssist Accountants franchise?
Not necessarily – the goal is to work on the business, rather than in it. By doing this you will be growing an asset as well as your income.
Key skills include high levels of commercial awareness, business acumen, motivation, communication skills, and the discipline to follow the business model. It’s an ideal opportunity for financially astute individuals, or those with corporate, consulting, or business ownership backgrounds.
We understand that if you are coming from an accountancy background, much of this may be new to you. That’s why we have carefully tailored the training and support we give you to hone the skills needed to run and grow a successful business.
Similarly if you are not a qualified accountant, we will train you to understand the services that you will be providing and have accredited routes available for you to gain relevant qualifications.
Whatever your background, we will guide you every step of the way to maximise your income and asset value, and ensure your business is a success.
