James Mattam, Group Director of Franchising, said: “It has been a pleasure to welcome so many new accountants to our network of over 230 franchisees this year. The Support Centre teams are excited to support them in building and growing substantial practices.”
To meet increased demand, TaxAssist introduced an extra initial training course and will run four courses in 2026, beginning in March. James added, "We encourage anyone interested in joining our network to get in touch early to allow for plenty of time to prepare.”
2025 also marked TaxAssist’s 30th anniversary, a milestone year celebrated with multiple accolades including 5-Star Franchisee Satisfaction for the 13th consecutive year, winning the Best Franchise Award (Business to Business) and 12th place in the Elite Franchise Top 100 awards, cementing TaxAssist Accountants as one of the UK’s leading franchises.
It also received high praise from its clients with outstanding results in a recent satisfaction survey, with 94% of clients stating they would recommend TaxAssist Accountants to a friend or colleague.
Throughout the year, the TaxAssist network benefited from conferences, regional meetings, training courses, mentoring, webinars and a series of Making Tax Digital roadshows. Additionally, a new staffing solution, Resourcing by TaxAssist, was launched to address recruitment challenges and help franchisees scale efficiently.
“Our network can be reassured that we’re here to support them every step of the way,” said James. “As we look ahead to 2026, with AI and regulatory changes reshaping the accountancy industry, the benefits of joining TaxAssist have never been clearer.”
