In this newly created strategic role, Katie will lead and oversee key TaxAssist Group-wide initiatives spanning the franchise network, enhanced services for both franchisees and clients and Group-owned practices. Her leadership will play a pivotal role in delivering transformative projects that support the ongoing evolution of TaxAssist’s service proposition and operational excellence across markets.

Katie brings to The TaxAssist Group a strong foundation in accounting and software-driven business leadership. She is an accountant by training and has held a number of senior positions across accountancy related technology and software organisations. Most recently, she served as Head of Customer Success at Dext, where she played a central role in developing and managing customer success strategies for accounting and bookkeeping firms across the UK and beyond. Prior to her tenure in software, Katie spent over a decade in practice roles focused on small business development and digital transformation, including navigating key technology and compliance changes such as Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT and driving service into the cloud.

Her deep experience in practice consulting and customer success, combined with a strong track record of steering digital and operational projects in high-growth environments, makes her uniquely suited to this role.

Daren Moore, CEO of The TaxAssist Group, said: “The role of Director of Group Projects is a new and important addition to our leadership team. It has been created to help us resource and deliver a number of critical, high-impact projects we plan to roll out this year.

“These projects represent a significant step forward in how we support our franchise networks, enhance services for clients, build strong external commercial relationships, and promote our brand. We are thrilled to welcome Katie and look forward to working with her as we drive these initiatives forward.”

Katie’s appointment underscores The TaxAssist Group’s commitment to strengthening its strategic execution capability and supporting the growth and success of its franchise network, which spans over 400 shops and offices and serves over 125,000 small and medium sized businesses across the UK.
