TaxAssist Accountants has successfully concluded a series of nine regional meetings across the UK, bringing franchisees and Group Directors together for a day of collaboration, knowledge sharing and strategic updates.
The annual events give franchisees the opportunity to connect directly with the Support Centre team, hear about the Group’s latest developments and investment plans, and exchange ideas and best practice with fellow practice owners.
This year’s meetings focused on the changing accountancy landscape and the opportunities for franchisees to strengthen their practices, improve efficiency and deliver greater value to clients.
Key topics included:
- Technology, AI and automation: Exploring how emerging technologies are changing accountancy workflows, service delivery and client expectations.
- Digital visibility and client discovery: Introducing the new client-facing website, designed to support traditional search, improve visibility across AI-powered search tools and strengthen local discovery.
- Efficiency and profitability: Looking at ways to improve processes, protect margins and adopt value-based pricing.
- Expanding services and advisory: Exploring changing client needs, more proactive advisory solutions and the development of TaxAssist Plus.
- New platforms and ways of working: Sharing updates on the new Franchise Support Platform and Client Platform.
- Growth and planning for the future: Discussing ambitious network growth targets and how franchisees can adapt to continued change while building successful, sustainable practices.
James Mattam, Group Director of Franchising, said: “It was a pleasure to meet with our franchisees again at this year’s regional meetings. I enjoyed travelling around the UK, sharing the latest developments across the Group and discussing our priorities for the future.
“Accountancy is evolving rapidly, with technology, AI and changing client expectations creating both challenges and opportunities for practice owners. These meetings are an important opportunity to share how we’re investing in our network, from new digital platforms and enhanced client-facing resources to the continued development of TaxAssist Plus.
“Just as importantly, they give us the chance to listen to our franchisees, learn from their experiences and exchange ideas that can benefit the wider network. The enthusiasm, insight and feedback we received this year were fantastic, and I’d like to thank everyone who took part for their contribution.”
The meetings were also an opportunity for franchisees to gain fresh perspectives from colleagues across the network.
Hugo Mills, TaxAssist Accountants Newbury & Theale, said: “The world of accountancy is changing at a rapid pace. It was great to get an overview of the investments the Group is making to stay at the forefront of these changes.
“In a world where AI is changing working practices so quickly, it can be hard to keep up. But it’s great to be part of a network with the vision to guide us through this challenging environment.
“Thank you to the TaxAssist management team for a great event.”
Rachel Wu, TaxAssist Accountants Welling, also praised the event, commenting: “Had an amazing and insightful day at the regional meeting today. Came out energised and inspired!”
