In his new role, Nicholas will lead the Group’s complementary services offering, including the continued development of TaxAssist Plus. The appointment reflects the Group’s ongoing investment in broadening the support available to clients beyond traditional accountancy and tax services.
TaxAssist Plus builds on the trusted relationships between TaxAssist franchisees and their clients, providing access to specialist services delivered by carefully selected partner organisations across areas such as financial planning, funding, insurance, banking and cash management. These services aim to address clients’ wider business and personal financial needs through their existing relationship with TaxAssist.
Nicholas will work closely with franchisees, colleagues and specialist partners to identify changing client needs and shape relevant, high-quality propositions. A key priority will be developing partnerships that complement the existing TaxAssist offering and deliver positive outcomes for clients.
Nicholas brings 18 years of experience across financial services, commercial leadership and professional partnerships, having held senior roles at Investec Wealth & Investment, Redmayne Bentley and Smart Currency Exchange. His experience includes business development, intermediary distribution and strategic partnerships, working with accountants, financial advisers, solicitors and business owners to strengthen client relationships and support sustainable growth.
Alongside his corporate career, Nicholas has founded and developed businesses across financial planning, employee benefits and technology, giving him first-hand insight into the challenges of building a proposition, managing growth and maintaining service quality.
Daren Moore, CEO of The TaxAssist Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nicholas to The TaxAssist Group. His combination of financial services experience, entrepreneurial insight and understanding of professional partnerships makes him a strong addition to the Group.
“TaxAssist has always been focused on understanding our clients and supporting them as their businesses and personal financial needs evolve. Through TaxAssist Plus, we want to help clients access relevant, high-quality specialist support through carefully selected partners, enabling our franchisees to deliver even greater value to their clients.
“Nicholas will build on the strong foundations already in place, helping us develop TaxAssist Plus in a way that delivers positive client outcomes and strengthens the overall TaxAssist proposition.”
Nicholas said: “I am delighted to be joining The TaxAssist Group at an exciting stage in the development of TaxAssist Plus. What particularly attracted me to TaxAssist was the strength of the relationships between franchisees and their clients, and the trust that sits at the heart of those relationships.
“My focus will be on listening to franchisees and clients, understanding where specialist support can add genuine value and making it as straightforward as possible for franchisees to identify opportunities and connect clients with appropriate expertise. Service quality and positive client outcomes will remain central to every partnership we introduce.”
Nicholas has also worked extensively with professional services businesses to develop referral processes and partnerships, using data and technology to improve client engagement and respond to changing client needs.
His appointment supports The TaxAssist Group’s ambition to provide clients with access to a broader range of trusted specialist services delivered through carefully selected partner organisations, complementing its established accountancy and tax offering and helping franchisees do more for their clients.
