TaxAssist Accountants, in collaboration with Intuit QuickBooks, hosted an exclusive gala event on 7th August 2025 at the iconic Tower of London - an unforgettable evening featuring a private viewing of the Crown Jewels, live entertainment and a glittering awards dinner.

The evening brought together franchisees, staff and partners from across the TaxAssist network, with the network nominating a standout individual or team for recognition in the 2025 TaxAssist Awards.

Jo Nockels, Head of Group Practice Capabilities at TaxAssist Accountants, commented: “We were delighted to host such a prestigious event in collaboration with Intuit QuickBooks.

“The evening was a celebration of the hard work, dedication and outstanding achievements across our network. It was a chance to recognise those who are driving innovation, delivering excellence and making a real impact in the accounting profession.”

Award winners are:

  • Karen Goncalves - Intuit QuickBooks Rising Star of the Year
  • Joshua Walker - Intuit QuickBooks Excellence in Education and Training
  • Tracey Askew and Hannah Campbell - Intuit QuickBooks Ambassador of the Year
  • Bukky Shonola - Intuit QuickBooks Champion of the Year
  • Shayo Badejo - Intuit QuickBooks Community Impact Award
  • Ron Mansfield’s franchise in Romford and Hornchurch - Intuit QuickBooks Franchise of the Year

“Huge congratulations to our winners – they are all very deserving of their awards,” Jo added.

“They exemplify what’s possible with the support of our powerful brand and strategic partnerships, which help franchisees to stay ahead of industry changes, improve service delivery, and grow their practices with confidence.”

Rob Burlison, Director of Corporate Affairs, Intuit said, “This event was special because it was a chance to shine a light on a community we’re incredibly proud to work with.

“The awards were not about competition; they were about celebration. And they’re something we at Intuit chose to create because we believe the work of the TaxAssist network deserves to be seen, valued and recognised.

“Across the TaxAssist network, we see firms blending tech with human insight, delivering advice that changes the trajectory of small businesses. Accountants are not only helping clients achieve success, they’re helping to redefine what the profession is all about.

“Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners.”

The event also marked the continued success of the strategic alliance between TaxAssist Accountants and Intuit, formed in early 2025 to prepare the network for the upcoming Making Tax Digital for Income Tax mandate. This collaboration has delivered tangible benefits to the network, including bespoke consultancy and training, product education sessions, client-assisted onboarding, flexible pricing models and premium support including a dedicated QuickBooks Strategic Account Manager.
